My name is Mary and I have been a veterinary assistant since 2016. I graduated from the Indiana Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Humanities in 2018. Then, I graduated from Ball State University in 2022 with my BS in Biology along with many pre-veterinarian courses, as initially I wanted to pursue Vet School. Currently, I am in the Penn Foster program to become a certified veterinary technician.
As I grew as an assistant, I fell in love with establishing client and patient relationships, as well as patient care. I truly enjoy being there for clients and their pets in every way possible. Developing bonds with patients, and owners, makes my job even more special. I have a special interest in emergency medicine and surgery. I love this profession because we are constantly growing and learning together as a community.
I live in Beech Grove with my fiancé Samuel. In my free time I enjoy gardening, painting, and baking. My other special interests include birdwatching, as well as wildlife conservation and management. We have 7 fur babies! Four dogs - Lucy (dachshund), Winifred (shih tzu mix), Birdie (miniature dachshund), and Toby (shih tzu mix). Three cats - Zuko (orange shorthair), Toulouse (orange shorthair), and Chowder (gray and white long hair).
